Archaeological finds from Gosposvetska cesta impressed America

Amazing finds, archaeologists uncovered during the latest digs on Gosposvetska cesta, are now presented in a comprehensive article in the February issues of the National Geographic Slovenija in NG Junior magazines.

The uniqueness of the discoveries was also recognized in the Washington editorial office of the magazine and they reported on them on their website seen by millions of readers from around the world.

The surprising finds from Gosposvetska cesta, where archaeological research was conducted from August 2017 until June 2018, will keep archaeologists busy for a long time.

Just a few months after it was discovered, golden jewellery of an Emonian girl is already on display in the treasury of the City Museum, but only until 3 February. From 7 February the treasury is exhibiting a blue bowl. On the same day, at 11.00, Martin Horvat, the head of the archaeological digs, Museum and Galleries of Ljubljana, Assist. Prof. Dr. Andrej Gaspari and Arne Hodalič, photographer and photography editor at the magazine National Geographic Slovenija are going to be talking about the find.
