The campaign »Park your excuses elsewhere! Not on spaces reserved for the disabled.« received the Prism Award for communication excellence.

At the Slovenian Public Relations Conference the Slovenian Public Relations Association traditionally presented the Prism Awards for excellence of communication programmes in the public relations field. This year the expert committee awarded the campaign »Park your excuses elsewhere! Not on spaces reserved for the disabled.« in the specific communication programmes category which in addition to the City of Ljubljana includes the Slovenian Traffic Safety Agency, Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security at the University of Maribor and the Taktik agency.
The Prism is a national expert award presented by the Slovenian Public Relations Association to Slovenian organisations for excellence of implemented communication programmes in the public relations field. It is one of a kind recognition for Slovenian experts and it does not only stand for communication excellence but it also represents expertise, knowledge, creativity and efficiency in the profession of public relations and broader.

Outstanding campaign results

Campaign partners supported by the Taktik agency took the results of a survey on (il)legal parking on spaces reserved for the disabled, headed by assistant professor Dr Aleš Bučar Ručman, as a basis for the awareness raising campaign »Park your excuses elsewhere! Not on spaces reserved for the disabled.«, with which we want to change the behaviour and actions of drivers with regard to illegal parking on spaces reserved for the disabled. Diverse campaign activities were very successful – after their completion we recorded a 58 percent decrease in violations on disabled parking spaces.
