On 22 January 2016, during an official visit to Prague the Deputy Mayor Prof Janez Koželj and the Mayor of the Municipal District Prague Vladislava Hujova signed an agreement on cultural cooperation between Ljubljana and Prague.

The aim of the agreement on cooperation in the field of culture and art between the City of Ljubljana and the Municipal District Prague 3 is to encourage creativity in the aforementioned areas and the cooperation of both cities in presenting cultural achievements, especially with regard to the preservation and conservation of the architectural heritage of the master Jože Plečnik in Ljubljana and Prague.

On the occasion, the Deputy Mayor Prof Koželj and his host laid a wreath at Plečnik’s monument in Hradčany and went on a guided tour of local Plečnik’s works led by architect Zdenko Lukeš.
