The Green Penguin environmental project, in which we are also taking part in the City of Ljubljana, received the European Entrepreneurship Award in the category of sustainable transition support.

The project's primary goal is to tackle global environmental challenges and involve residents in co-creating carbon-neutral cities.

The Green Penguin project, conceived by the Iskraemeco company, is applying in a public tender for co-financing projects under the Education – Strengthening Human Resources Program within the scope of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, with the City of Ljubljana as one of the project partners. Three primary schools in Ljubljana will take part in the pilot project: the Hinko Smrekar Primary School, the Šmartno pod Šmarno goro Primary School and the Jože Moškrič Primary School.

The Iskraemeco company presented the Green Penguin project at Climathon Ljubljana in November last year, afterwards they were included in the global Climathon, ranking among the three best ideas of the year. They also achieved the same placing at the Nordic Smart City Challenge, and this year they received the European Entrepreneurship Award in the category of sustainable transition support.
