European Mobility Week 2018 – Mix and Move

This was the 17th consecutive year that the City of Ljubljana took part in the European Mobility Week, the most wide-spread sustainable mobility campaign which traditionally takes place from 16 to 22 September.

Employees in the city administration, public institutes and companies and many other organisations, groups and individuals again prepared a varied programme of admission-free events in the field of sustainable mobility, traffic safety, environmental protection, health and quality of living for all generations.

This year’s moto »Mix and Move« emphasised that we can travel more efficiently with prudent planning and combining different modes of mobility in the same journey (for instance bus and bike, car and train …). Just by changing traveling habits, without greater financial burdens or interventions in the infrastructure, we can contribute to a cleaner environment, higher quality of public space use and our own health.
