Hostel Celica opening its doors again

Hostel Celica, in which we offered accommodation to healthcare professionals during the coronavirus epidemic, is again providing accommodation and part of its hospitality services.

On 16 March, Hostel Celica closed its doors for travellers due to the declared epidemic and shortly after opened them to healthcare professions from the University Medical Centre Ljubljana. As they no longer need accommodation, the hostel returned to its main business on Monday, 25 May 2020.

»Although we had a very promising season ahead of us, reservations are unfortunately being cancelled. But as we are getting some enquiries for this period, we have decided to reopen the hostel. This is the only way we can bring it back on track and fulfil our mission«, said representatives of the Public Institute Ljubljana Castle, which is managing the Hostel Celica. A unique experience of spending a night in one of the former prison cells redesigned into rooms with their own artistic concept and an original story, making the hostel recognisable around the world, combined with the exploration of the capital is appealing to domestic guests from other parts of Slovenia, as well.

In other multi-bed rooms we will follow all applicable instructions from the recommendations for providing guests with safe accommodation and ensuring the safety of our staff.

Resuming part of hospitality services

It is possible to sit down for a drink and some snacks in the summer garden of the Hostel Celica or in the indoor hospitality part every workday between 9:00 and 17:00. The kitchen with its daily lunch menu remains closed for now.

On Monday, 1st June, the city cinema Kinodvor is opening its doors, as well.
