It Is Impossible to Return to an Impossible Land

On the International Day for Tolerance, the Kresija Gallery is opening an exhibition on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Ljubljana's inclusion in the ICORN network, titled It is Impossible to Return to an Impossible Land.

In 2011, the City of Ljubljana joined ICORN – a network of cities and regions that offer temporary refuge to persecuted writers, poets, journalists, artists and other creators.

The exhibition It Is Impossible to Return to an Impossible Land reveals the stories of five residents who were guests of Ljubljana for two years. Participating ICORN residents are: Souzan Ali, Girma Fantaya, Shiva Nazar Ahari, Zineb el Rhazoui, Sameer Sayegh

In addition to the City of Ljubljana, the exhibition was also supported by the Ljubljana City Library, the Slovenian PEN Center and the Trubar House of Literature.
