The publication Circular Insider has been issued, ranking Ljubljana among the frontrunners in the field of circular economy.

This is the first publication that provides a broad insight into the stories of the actors of circular change in our country and Europe. The aim of the publication is to encourage the transition to a circular economy through practical cases, interviews, columns, statements and advice, and to connect the expertise and practical circular experiences. With its content and design, Circular Insider promotes a »circular lifestyle« and highlights the opportunities for various stakeholders to become circular frontrunners themselves – as decision-makers, entrepreneurs, creators or active citizens. Circular Insider was prepared by a namesake non-profit organization in Ljubljana, which has a strong international network and serves as the best springboard for all circular economy projects in Europe.

Ljubljana on the path towards circular economy

In the City of Ljubljana, we are convinced that the shift from a linear to a circular economy will have a significant impact not only on production and the economy but also on the whole social order and mindset changes. If we learn to use and spend less, re-use things and continue to follow the principles of the sharing economy, we and our environment will both be winners. We are already implementing numerous circular economy projects in the City Administration of the City of Ljubljana and public companies, public institutes and district communities.
