Ljubljana presented itself at this year's EXPO Dubai 2020, the largest world exhibition to date.

The key topic of our presentation was urban regeneration and mobility, in which we highlighted water with a neuro drinker, the architectural legacy of Jože Plečnik, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and sports tourism, with an emphasis on cycling.

We designed the activities to show Ljubljana in all its beauty, emphasizing its relationship to nature. We are aware that everything is transient, even natural resources are not infinite, and that it is necessary to face their limitations. Through a story, we want to show the world what natural resources we have in Ljubljana and that we live with the idea of preserving the natural environment and raising the quality of living. The current leadership of the City of Ljubljana, with its sustainable vision, has brought Ljubljana to the distinguished title of European Green Capital 2016, and Ljubljana is at the very top of all European green capitals on the Europe Best Destination list, which makes us very proud.
