On Tuesday, 27 September 2022, at the Third Life Period Festival, Mayor Zoran Janković received an honorary recognition for outstanding support and care for the lives of the elderly.

All 16 years serving as the Mayor of the City of Ljubljana, he has been supporting the Third Life Period Festival, which focuses on active aging, improving the quality of life of the elderly and supporting solidarity between generations. Every year, the City of Ljubljana prepares a varied program for the festival, where we, working together with Ljubljana's public institutes and companies as well as non-governmental organizations, present activities for an active and high-quality life in the third life period.

The Mayor, who is again this year the honorary patron of the festival, thanked the organizers for the awarded recognition and said that it means a lot to him. He stressed that in these uncertain times, solidarity and security are even more important and highlighted three challenges that we will have to face in the future, namely, COVID and the high cost of food and energy.

Ljubljana is a city of solidary, tolerance and comradeship, where different people live together with mutual respect. These are the values we also emphasize at the Third Life Period Festival and which make the mayor particularly proud.
