Netko award 2011

VO-KA public company’s "Cevko" website for children has won the Netko Award 2011 for the most user-friendly web content for children.

The Netko awards 2011 were bestowed at a ceremony at the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce on Monday 7 November 2011 by the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce - Association of Informatics and Telecommunications in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology - Information Society Directorate and the SAFE-SI Centre for Internet Security. The Netko prize is awarded to businesses, institutes, offices, communities and individuals for the quality of their websites.

This year, the award was divided into seven categories, and there were also selections for the agency of the year and the best website by users’ choice – the people’s voice. The categories for Netko 2011 were:

• Company presentations in the fields of industry, services, retailing and finance
• Institutional presentations in the field of state and public administration
• Media and informative portals
• Web services
• Products and trademarks
• Start up projects
• The most user-friendly web content for children

The Netko Awards are oriented to increasing quality and achieving website’s goals. The content used for presentations on the internet must be provided with quality, innovation, be user-friendly and have the appropriate design and technical support.

Projects that achieve visible success in individual categories and those that take a step further in their web presentation were invited to the Netko 2011 competition. The response to the invitation, which closed on 27 October, was excellent this year, as there were more than 110 registrations, of which the largest number were in the Products and trademarks category.

VO-KA public company’s excellent "Cevko" website for children, produced by ENKI d.o.o., won the Netko Award 2011 for the most user-friendly web content for children.

The other finalists in the most user-friendly web content for children category were Rokus Klett, d.o.o’s Lilibi, Modrijan by Holding Slovenske elektrarne, d.o.o., and the Bansi RTV Slovenia multimedia centre.
