New heat and electricity cogeneration unit
Energetika Ljubljana will start building a new natural gas cogeneration unit at the location of the heating plant in Šiška, with which it intends to replace a smaller and dilapidated unit at this location.
The value of the entire investment is 14.6 million EUR without VAT. The start of operation is scheduled for August next year, and the chosen contractor is C&G d.o.o. The new plant with a capacity of 7.52 MW will be used for the production of electricity, technological steam and heat for the district heating system of the city of Ljubljana. In addition to the production location in Šiška, Energetika Ljubljana also has the TE-TOL production unit in Moste, where the construction of a gas and steam unit is currently underway, which is going to replace two coal blocks.
