On 24 October 2018, we opened the energy renovated Vodmat Kindergarten, Vodmat unit. The renovation of the kindergarten falls within the scope of smart solutions Ljubljana, smart city, with which we are improving the quality of life in our city and taking care of our environment. We have already preserved 150,000 trees with energy renovations.

The energy renovation of the kindergarten falls within the framework of a public-private partnership between the City of Ljubljana and the consortium of companies Petrol and Resalta. The works included the renovation of the building envelope, insulation of the attic, replacement of roof windows, lights and upgrade of the fire protection system.

The Vodmat Kindergarten is one of 48 buildings we have renovated within the framework of the aforementioned public‑private partnership. Among them are cultural and healthcare buildings, educational institutions, sports facilities and city administration buildings. With these energy renovations we are following the guidelines of contemporary approaches to planning energy optimisations and smart solutions with which we are supporting the protection of the environment and increasing the quality of life in our city.
