Opening of the renovated Jože Moškrič Primary School

The Jože Moškrič Primary School reopened after its energy and static renovation. The renovation of the school falls within the scope of smart solutions Ljubljana, smart city, with which we are improving the quality of life in our city and taking care of our environment. So far energy renovations have already preserved 150,000 trees.

The school was renovated within the framework of a public-private partnership between the City of Ljubljana and the consortium of companies Petrol and Resalta. This included energy and static renovations of the building, replacement of electrical installations and restoration of floors. We also set up a new dining hall, a kitchen for serving food and a library in the former caretaker’s apartment as well as a driveway for food deliveries.

The school headteacher Simona Kralj emphasised that the renovation transformed the school from a grey and dull old lady into a bright, efficient and statically safe school. She thanked Mayor Zoran Janković and the City of Ljubljana for supporting the renovation work which we have carried out in eight months.

Mayor Zoran Janković expressed his satisfaction that the work went according to plan and that now pupils can acquire new knowledge in the renovated school.
