Experts have based on 1.5 million hotel, restaurant and landmark reviews from around the world awarded 20 landmarks, 10 restaurants and 41 accommodation facilities in Ljubljana with the Expert's choice in Best of Ljubljana recognition.

The fact that less than 2% of world landmarks, hotels and restaurants receive the award gives the recognition higher value and it is great for Ljubljana’s promotion.

For the fourth consecutive year the jury chose the best based on the writings of tourism experts in leading publications, such as tour guides, magazines, newspapers and prominent blogs. The choice of winners in 2019 is based on over 1.5 million reviews of 500 destinations around the world. From the recommendations in publications, such as Condé Nast Traveler, The Telegraph, Lonely Planet, Michelin Guide, Afar Magazine, Fodor's, Frommer's, Inside Guides and others they selected the Ljubljana Castle, the National and University Library, the Tipple Bridge, the Town Square and the Central Market as the best landmarks in Ljubljana.

As the best restaurants they listed the Restaurant Strelec, the Restaurant Pri Škofu, the Castle Restaurant, the Restaurant Na gradu and the Klobasarna, and among the best hotels Vander Urban Resort, Hotel Cubo, Antiq Palace Hotel & Spa, Grand Hotel Union and Adora Hotel.

The evaluators presented them all with the sign TripExpert Best of Ljubljana in Expert's choice.
