Tourism ljubljana at digital innovation campus conference

The representatives of Tourism Ljubljana have attended the annual Digital Innovation Campus conference in Barcelona where they presented the Visit Ljubljana online experience shop as an example of good practice.

The main incentives for invitation for presentation have been the web content award that the Digital Tourism Think Tank awarded to the Tourism Ljubljana in January 2014 and the fact that the award-winning project in the context of which they connected the local tourist agencies carrying out day-trips from Ljubljana and a variety of organised activities, was this year upgraded with the Internet booking and sales module in the form of the “Experience Shop”.

The presentation of Tourism Ljubljana has experienced favourable and positive responses and it could be noticed that recently the interest in Ljubljana is big. Unlike the previous two years when the representatives of Ljubljana had to specifically point out our city of Ljubljana to the participants of the conference, this year it seemed that the majority already knew of Ljubljana, which also stimulated greater interest in our example of good practice. This was also publically confirmed by the blogger Kash Bhattacharya, who also participated in the conference, where he presented the project Must Love Festivals in the context of which a large-scale and high-profile blogger campaign was carried out on the topic of festivals in various European countries, which will continue in the next year. Kash, along with three other bloggers also visited Ljubljana, which has been particularly mentioned in his presentation.
