Tourism Ljubljana with its new Web Appearance
The official tourist website of Ljubljana and the Central Slovenia region administrated by Ljubljana Tourism has been upgraded technically, visually and in its contents.
The newly designed MyVisit planer enables users to create their own personal guide around Ljubljana. The convention pages have been updated in their contents. A number of other smaller improvements have been made, among them also the transfer to a new e-news system and the link between maps and directions in the Google Maps application.
The website www.visitljubljana.com is designed as a source of inspiration to visit Ljubljana and its surroundings and as a rich source of information on tourist services and events. On it visitors can book their accommodation, guided city tours, day trips around Slovenia and other adventures or organised activities, hotel packages, and they can also buy the tourist card – Ljubljana Card.
In the MyVisit planner they can save their favourite contents and create their own personal guide. They can send the plan of the visit to an e-mail address, export it to the Visit Ljubljana mobile application (Android/iPhone) or create a guide in the PDF format which also includes prepared practical information segments.
Information is available in 7 language versions and segments for business users
Subsites for visitors in Ljubljana, which are available in seven languages (English, Slovene, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish), primarily cater to foreigners, namely, approximately 95% of guests in Ljubljana come from foreign markets. The website also includes the B2B/press centre providing information for journalists and travel organisers, and the Ljubljana Convention Bureau pages with information for organisers of conventions and other types of meetings.
During the latest upgrade the pages of the Ljubljana Convention Bureau were better adapted to the trends in the global market for international meetings, and the conference capacities browser was also revised. As a new feature there are presentations of motivational programmes equipped with web inquiry forms for direct contact with providers, which are enabling two-way communication. The visually improved pages also offer presentations of success stories about the events organised in previous years.
