On 23 May 2016, Mayor Zoran Janković went on an official visit to Sofia where he was welcomed by the Mayor Yordanka Asenova Fandakova.

Within the scope of the visit Mayor Zoran Janković also took a tour of the city centre, Vitoshka Street which is closed for traffic, Serdica Park which was opened for public not long ago, and green additions on which Sofia is basing its candidature for the title European Green Capital.
