Stumbling stones – in remembrance and admonition
On 9 September 2021, we placed seven new stumbling stones in Ljubljana, dedicated to the Jewish citizens of Ljubljana and their relatives, who were taken to various concentration camps across Europe.

Successful celebration of the 10th anniversary of the CIVINET network
The For a More Beautiful Ljubljana campaign started in the spirit of sustainable mobility. Ljubljana hosted the Cities for Climate Neutrality conference between 22 and 24 March 2023, with which we marked the 10th anniversary of the CIVINET Slovenia-Croatia-South East Europe network.

Successful CIVITAS Forum
Ljubljana has once again proven itself as a good host and impressed the visitors of the 13th CIVITAS Forum, the most important European conference in the field of sustainable urban mobility, which was held in our city between 7 and 9 October 2015.

Successful conclusion of Velo-city 2022
The 29th Velo-city 2022 cycling conference concluded in Ljubljana on Friday, 17 June 2022. The flag of the conference was passed on to the next host, the city of Leipzig.

Success of Ljubljana’s pupils
On 2 February 2017 at the City Hall, Mayor Zoran Janković hosted pupils from primary schools Danila Kumar, Dravlje in France Bevk who were successful in international debating competitions in the English language which were held in Thailand and the USA.
