The 17th Festival of Culture and Art Education Beavers will take place at 58 locations across Ljubljana from 15 to 29 March 2025. Free tickets for all theatre, dance, music, literature and film events will be available on the festival website on Saturday, 8 March, at 9:00.

The festival will be held under the slogan On the Wings of Curiosity because in a world that is increasingly dominated by rushing, chasing goals and competitiveness, we want to encourage children and young people to be curious – to that genuine sense of wonder and enthusiasm for the world and asking questions about it.
The program consists of events (theatre, books, music, dance and film) that are already part of the regular program of theatres, cinemas or other institutions that prepare programs for children and young people, as well as numerous new features. With the festival and its theme in mind, several workshops, guided tours and other activities have also been designed, which will take place in museums, galleries and other cultural corners around Ljubljana, as well as outdoors.

This year, over sixty producers will prepare one hundred and eighty events in Ljubljana, which will be attended by more than fourteen thousand visitors. They will take place at fifty-eight venues.
This year’s program will again consist of events for the widest possible age group of children and young people. There are events for the youngest (even those under the age of one year), as well as for teenagers. We have paid particular attention to improving the accessibility of cultural events for people with special needs and have marked the individual events for whom they are accessible.

Collecting free tickets

This year, the Beavers Festival will once again offer online ticket collection to increase accessibility. Free tickets for all theatre, dance, music, literary and film events will be available from Saturday, 8 March, at 9:00 at www.bobri.si. Each adult visitor can pick up tickets for a maximum of one event, and no more than three. Registration is required for workshops, exhibitions and other guided activities.
