Ljubljana Achieves Outstanding Results in the ICCA Statistics Report: Country & City Rankings 2024
Ljubljana has achieved an exceptional 39th place on the global ranking of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), which is based on the number of international association congresses held in a city in a given year. This marks an impressive climb of 11 places compared to the previous year. On the European list, Ljubljana secured 23rd place, ahead of cities such as Munich, Zurich, Bologna, Florence, Zagreb, and Belgrade.

Mission 100: LPP and Energetika Ljubljana together for cleaner air
As part of the Mission 100 Climate Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030, the public passenger transport company LPP and the public energy company Energetika Ljubljana successfully introduced the first city bus powered by 100% biomethane, thus starting a new phase of the transition to carbon-neutral public mobility in Ljubljana.

Ljubljana to Host Urban Future 2026
Ljubljana has been announced as the host city for Urban Future 2026, one of Europe’s leading conferences focused on sustainable urban development. The announcement was made during the Urban Future 2025 conference in Łódź, Poland, where the Urban Future Baton was passed to Ljubljana.

Gold award for the June in Ljubljana festival
With the visual image of Summer Creatures, which we designed as part of the June in Ljubljana festival, we received the gold award in the Art Direction category at this year's Slovenian Advertising Festival, the central annual event of the advertising profession in Slovenia.

Raman has arrived at the ZOO
Ljubljana ZOO welcomed a new resident at the end of April this year – the Asiatic lion Raman, a representative of one of the most endangered lion subspecies in the world. His arrival marks a new chapter in Ljubljana ZOO's efforts to preserve biodiversity and an invaluable opportunity for visitors to get up close and personal with the Indian king of animals, which has almost disappeared in the wild.

We are preparing already the 3rd Biodiverse festival
On Thursday, 22 May 2025, at Pogačar Square, we are preparing the Biodiverse Festival, with which we are marking the International Day for Biological Diversity for the third consecutive year. This year, the festival is complemented by a screening of the film Wild Slovenia and a discussion on the impact of nature documentaries in raising social awareness about the necessity of nature conservation.

The Waterpipe Bridge connects Rakova jelša and the Ljubljana Marshes
We opened the Waterpipe Bridge, which connects the Ljubljana Marshes Landscape Park with the park facilities at Rakova jelša. The bridge, intended for pedestrians and cyclists, is the only bridge over the Ljubljanica River between Ižanska cesta and the bridge in Podpeč.
