International Rescue Dog Exercise
From Friday to Sunday, from 17 to 19 May 2024, already the 24th International Rescue Dog Exercise Earthquake – Ljubljana 2024 was held in Ljubljana and its surrounding area, checking the reception, accommodation and use of foreign rescue assistance, the rescue skills of handlers and dogs in rubble and the search for missing persons in nature.

On 17 May, we mark the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOBiT), with which we strive to overcome prejudice against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people and to draw attention to the violence and discrimination that LGBT+ people experience because of this prejudice.

Ljubljana among the best on the way to a climate agreement
After Ljubljana was selected as one of the 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030 as part of the European Commission's Climate Neutral and Smart Cities mission, the City of Ljubljana submitted the complete documentation to the European Commission for signing the climate agreement on 15 March 2024.

Ljubljana celebrates 9 May
Again this year, Ljubljana marked 9 May, the city holiday, with a gala session of the City Council of the City of Ljubljana, where we presented the city's highest recognitions with the Honorary Citizen titles at the top. The titles were awarded to Julijana Žibert and Prof. Janez Koželj.
