Again this year, we celebrated Ljubljana City Holiday and Peace Day with a gala session of the City Council of the City of Ljubljana, at which we presented the city's highest recognitions and the titles of Honorary Citizen of Ljubljana.

The Bee Path in Ljubljana has been around for 10 years already
This year we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Bee Path. We designed it as one of the activities as part of the celebration of Ljubljana, the European Green Capital 2016, and over the past decade, it has grown from a tourist route into a real bee network. We will mark the tenth anniversary with a varied program that will run until October.

The Best Apartment Building of 2024 is located at Ptujska ulica 26
This year, as part of the traditional campaign For a More Beautiful Ljubljana, we also selected the Best Apartment Building of 2024 in Ljubljana. The apartment buildings at Bilečanska ulica 4 and Ptujska ulica 26 were in the final selection, while the citizens chose the multi-apartment building at Ptujska ulica 26 as the Best Apartment Building in an online vote. This is the third Best Apartment Building located in the Bežigrad District Community.

1495 days: Ljubljana during World War II
On the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, the City Museum of Ljubljana opened a central exhibition entitled 1495 Days: Ljubljana during World War II, which offers an in-depth insight into the key events between 1941 and 1945, which indelibly marked the history of our city.

We have chosen the Tree and Avenue of the Year 2024
At the end of the For a More Beautiful Ljubljana campaign, we present the Tree and Avenue of the Year in Ljubljana, which were chosen by citizens through an online vote.

In memory of Honorary Citizen Anita Ogulin
Next to the circular park on the Path of Remembrance and Comradeship near Fužine Castle, we have unveiled a memorial plaque by a tree dedicated to the exceptional humanitarian and Honorary Citizen of the City of Ljubljana, Anita Ogulin.

We are opening the padel and tennis season
The tennis and padel season starts in spring, so it's just the right time to open the new padel courts on the Plateau under Tivoli Hall.

European funds for projects of the City of Ljubljana
The City of Ljubljana continues to successfully draw on European funds. At the end of last month, the Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development approved co-financing for the development of the Savsko naselje Sports Park and the renovation of Bloudek Park in Tivoli, and our EffiComfort project was also selected for co-financing as part of the call for proposals for the most innovative projects in cities.
