The 17th Festival of Culture and Art Education Beavers will take place at 58 locations across Ljubljana from 15 to 29 March 2025. Free tickets for all theatre, dance, music, literature and film events will be available on the festival website on Saturday, 8 March, at 9:00.

Ljubljana Castle successfully completed last year
Ljubljana Castle had been visited by almost 1,300,000 guests in 2024, and the funicular railway transported over 575,000 passengers. With the opening of the last renovated space – the multi-purpose Casemate Hall – the renovation and revitalization of the castle was completed, a major overhaul of the funicular railway was also carried out, the entrance bridge was renovated, and the Gostilna na Gradu restaurant was revamped.

Play with Me festival receives international URBACT award
The international inclusive festival Play with Me, which we have been preparing for 18 years together with the Association of Inclusive Culture and the Special Education Centre Janez Levec, received the URBACT award and was recognized as an example of European good practice.

Honorary Citizen of Ljubljana, academician Prof. Dr. Vinko V. Dolenc, has passed away. We will say goodbye to the Honorary Citizen at a commemoration session of the City Council of the City of Ljubljana, which will be held on Friday, 24 January 2025, at 10:00, in the Great Hall of the City Hall.
