With the visual image of Summer Creatures, which we designed as part of the June in Ljubljana festival, we received the gold award in the Art Direction category at this year's Slovenian Advertising Festival, the central annual event of the advertising profession in Slovenia.

The award further confirms that our efforts in creating vibrant and accessible cultural events do not go unnoticed and that with a well-thought-out, creative idea, we can develop projects that live with the city. Culture is not inaccessible, it is part of the city and breathes with it.

The design and creative image of the June in Ljubljana 2024 festival is based on a narrative framework that promises that the June in Ljubljana festival will live and develop from year to year, also through a unique visual image. The concept draws inspiration from the vitality and diversity of city life, which finally awakens before summer. It is a celebration of the natural, cultural, social and imaginary world. That is why we named the concept Summer Creatures. They encourage community involvement and celebrate diversity. Just as summer returns every year, »Summer Creatures« can be reborn with new ideas and interpretations, allowing the festival to (re)attain the status of a dynamic and highly anticipated event that maintains its charm and relevance over time. The new image was created by Matija Kocbek from the Reformatic studio.

Already the 17th of June in Ljubljana is coming soon

The June in Ljubljana festival, which opens the cultural summer in Ljubljana, features admission-free theatre, music and dance performances of various artistic genres, offering visitors an insight into the production of public cultural institutions and non-governmental organizations in the field of art. The mornings and afternoons are reserved for the youngest cultural enthusiasts, and in the evenings, there will be various music, ballet, opera and dance performances intended for the widest audience. This year's festival will also be marked by Summer Creatures, which will be given a new look.
