Next to the circular park on the Path of Remembrance and Comradeship near Fužine Castle, we have unveiled a memorial plaque by a tree dedicated to the exceptional humanitarian and Honorary Citizen of the City of Ljubljana, Anita Ogulin.

With this symbolic act, together with the Anita Ogulin and ZPM Association and the Green Ring Association, we want to preserve the memory of humanitarian Anita Ogulin, her heartiness, dedication and unwavering commitment to a more just and compassionate society.

Anita Ogulin, who passed away last July, dedicated her entire life to solving the plight of children, adolescents and families throughout Slovenia. She was a key figure in the creation of two national humanitarian programs – Sponsorship in Slovenia (Botrstvo v Sloveniji) and Chain of Good People (Veriga dobrih ljudi), which still operate today under the auspices of the Anita Ogulin and ZPM Association. Thanks to her unwavering faith in the good and her unconditional dedication, numerous children, families and individuals have embarked on the path back to a dignified life.
