The international inclusive festival Play with Me, which we have been preparing for 18 years together with the Association of Inclusive Culture and the Special Education Centre Janez Levec, received the URBACT award and was recognized as an example of European good practice.

URBACT is an initiative that has been promoting cooperation and the exchange of ideas, knowledge, good practices and policies among European cities for over 20 years. Among other things, it selects and recognizes good urban practices that are innovative, sustainable, integrated, efficient, inclusive and transferable.
The international inclusive festival »Play with Me« is a unique event that celebrates diversity, connection, solidarity and tolerance, and whose main creators have been people with special needs for years. In the spirit of mutual understanding, overcoming prejudice, mutual cooperation and respect, the festival connects people with special needs and distinctive development in the city center. Its contribution to a more inclusive as well as sustainable, efficient and, last but not least, environmentally friendly practice of the city of Ljubljana has also been recognized by the European initiative URBACT.

The recognition is a significant achievement for all three co-creators of the festival, a compliment for many years of efforts in the field of culture of inclusion, and all three organizations are extremely proud of it.
