With the demolition of the current Šiška Stadium and Athletics Hall, the construction of the new Ljubljana Athletic Centre has begun.

In the modern sports centre, male and female athletes will have excellent conditions for training and competitions. We will build new sports facilities: the main athletics and football stadium with 4,700 seats, an athletics hall with 1,600 seats, a warm-up hall and a throwing events hall, accompanying facilities, an auxiliary athletics and football stadium with 300 seats, outdoor sports areas for throwing events training, public open areas and parking spaces. The project will also include the development of essential infrastructure in the area of the sports centre, the reconstruction of the streets Magistrova ulica and Goriška ulica, and the construction of an underpass under the railway line.

The Ljubljana Athletic Centre will be a sports centre of national importance, enabling the hosting of high-level international athletics and football competitions.
