As part of the traditional spring campaign For a More Beautiful Ljubljana, we are also presenting a campaign to remove illegal advertising surfaces, which is being carried out by the City of Ljubljana Inspectorate. We launched the campaign in 2023, and to date we have already removed 586 advertising surfaces, and the removal is still ongoing.

Removal of dangerous advertising surfaces on Tržaška cesta road. After the removal, bricks fell on the sidewalk and the rotten wood on which the structure was mounted was exposed.

Appeal to owners to remove illegal surfaces themselves

The City of Ljubljana Inspectorate will continue its activities to remove illegal structures, giving priority to advertisements along sidewalks and bike paths that threaten the safety of pedestrians and cyclists. At the same time, we urge owners to remove illegal structures themselves. This will reduce the cost of removal, as the City of Ljubljana Inspectorate will otherwise have to remove the structures at their expense. The owners of illegally erected structures will thus significantly contribute to a more orderly environment and to the safety of Ljubljana's citizens and visitors.
