We are preparing already the 3rd Biodiverse festival
On Thursday, 22 May 2025, at Pogačar Square, we are preparing the Biodiverse Festival, with which we are marking the International Day for Biological Diversity for the third consecutive year. This year, the festival is complemented by a screening of the film Wild Slovenia and a discussion on the impact of nature documentaries in raising social awareness about the necessity of nature conservation.
The first part of the event will again this year take place in the form of a biodiverse market, where visitors will be able to smell beaver meat, feel otter and beaver fur, try their hand at identifying plants and insects, participate in a prize draw and be surprised by the many diverse interesting facts about the living world.
The second part of the festival, which we have prepared together with the University of Ljubljana's Food for Thought Festival, is titled What (still) moves us?. This part is intended for a viewing of the film Wild Slovenia and a discussion on the influence of nature documentaries in raising social awareness about the necessity of nature conservation.

The film screening will be followed by a discussion on the role of nature film. The event "What (still) moves us?" was created in cooperation between the Biodiverse Festival of the City of Ljubljana and Food for Thought Festival of the University of Ljubljana and will take place as part of the NOO ULTRA – University of Ljubljana for Sustainable Development project, co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
