Ljubljana ranked fifth on the list of the most beautiful autumn cities in the world, as was revealed by a tourist survey conducted by the British hotel chain Premier Inn, which included 60 cities worldwide.

A new mural adorning the inner facade of the City Museum of Ljubljana
The wall of the inner courtyard of the City Museum of Ljubljana is decorated with a new mural. The new temporary mural, which will adorn the facade of the museum's inner courtyard until 1 April 2024, playfully creates a bridge between the exterior and interior of the museum and gives a new function to the existing building elements.

The 27th Ljubljana Marathon
On 21 and 22 October 2023, the 27th Volkswagen Ljubljana Marathon was held in Ljubljana, this is the largest international running event in our country, in which over 22,500 runners participated.

Building a community of solar power plants
On Tuesday, 17 October 2023, at the City Hall, we and our partners signed a contract for the project titled Green energy on the surfaces and facilities of the City of Ljubljana, within the framework of which we will set up solar power plants on the facilities in the ownership of the City of Ljubljana.

We will construct the area around the Ljubljana Passenger Centre
On Tuesday, 10 October 2023, in the City Hall, we presented the layout plan for the Ljubljana Passenger Centre with its surroundings, which will become the central transfer point for passengers using public transport. The construction of this area is expected to continue until the end of 2025.

Ljubljana made it onto the Green Destinations Top 100 Stories list for the ninth time. The list highlights successful, sustainable and responsible tourism practices from around the world that serve as an example to other destinations, tour operators and travellers.
