On 28 and 29 September 2017, the 7th Ljubljana Forum was held at the Ljubljana Castle, an annual regional consultation bringing together knowledge and experience in managing cities and defining key areas, visions and strategies for future city development.

The main theme of this year’s forum was Future of Cities: City of Well-being introducing the concept of the city of well-being, challenges for the development of smart, sustainable and inclusive cities, financing mechanisms, new business models and industrial solutions, as well as defining new projects and progress in the field of digital business.

One of the events on the first day of the Forum was the mayors’ and city representatives’ round table titled How to eliminate emissions to reach sustainable development goals and become a »City of Well-being« in which Mayor Zoran Janković took part. On Friday, 29 September, Deputy Mayor Tjaša Ficko participated in the round table on fostering entrepreneurship in cities where she and other participants talked about how innovative and successful cites could provide opportunities for the development of entrepreneurship.
