A-qu-a

On 19 May 2015, a partnership agreement on the implementation of the project Active and Quality Aging in Home Environment (A-Qu-A), headed by the Home Care Institute Ljubljana, was signed at the City Hall.

The long-term conceptual basis of the project is the change of practice in the field of home care. The project will emphasize the importance of educational consulting work with the elderly and direct provision of services. Together with project partners we will develop system solutions in the field and, by doing so, ensure healthy and active aging of the population in Slovenia. The inclusion of partners from different professions is proof of the interdisciplinary nature of the project and persistent search for long-term solutions at the national level.

We will modernise practises in the field of home care and reduce health inequalities in target groups. The project is also oriented towards efficiency and economy as we are of the opinion that preventive measures have long-term positive effects. Scientific evidence will support the relevance of the project and show that quality of living at home is of key importance not only for the individual but also for the state and municipal budget.

We will regularly report on the results of the project and, by doing so, inform the general public for which we will also prepare different promotional materials and publications in the media. The programme is financed within the scope of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 and is going to run until 30 April 2016.
