On 8 and 9 October 2015, the 5th workshop within the framework of the AFE-INNOVNET Thematic Network was held in Warsaw on the topic of social inclusion, that is, on how technology helps the elderly to stay socially active.

The City of Ljubljana is participating in the AFE-INNOVNET Thematic Network in the field of innovations for age-friendly environments, co-financed by the EU. Currently the network is comprised of approximately 300 partners.
At the last workshop held in Warsaw a representative of the City of Ljubljana presented popular computer classes for the elderly which are on offer in Ljubljana for nine years already.
Representatives from two other cities – Warsaw and Fredericia (Denmark) – and the German federal state of Saxony have presented their activities as well.
