Afe-innovnet Meeting in Udine

The third meeting of the AFE-INNOVNET project on the theme of "Age-Friendly Environments: Independent Living, Housing, Domotics" was held on 30 and 31 March, 2015 in Udine, Italy.

The meeting was attended by Lilijana Batič, the Director of Ljubljana Home Care Institute, and Tanja Hodnik, Head of Social Security Department at the City of Ljubljana Administration.

The City of Ljubljana has been one of the partners at the Innovation for Age-Friendly Environments project in the European Union (AFE-INNOVNET), which has been cleared by the European Commission for a duration of two years – until the end of January next year. Currently, the projects includes around 150 partners, of which 22 cities and 17 regions.

The first day of the meeting was focused on the pilot project of domotics and independent living of elderly and disabled, while the second day focused on good practice exchange in the field of elderly care.
Tanja Hodnik has extensively presented the City of Ljubljana activity in the field of elderly care. Her presentation lasted for half an hour, which she used to explicitly present the organisation and home care implementation, and the Ljubljana's vision in the field of home care.

Activities were also presented by the representatives of Udine, Trieste and Tampere, Finland.
