Aid for Ukraine from the City of Ljubljana

In the City of Ljubljana, together with our public companies and institutes, we are joining the aid collection campaign for Ukraine.

We believe that this will at least somewhat alleviate the hardships experienced by the citizens of Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities these days. We will also do everything in our capability to help all Ukrainian people coming to us as they flee from the war.

On Thursday, 10 March 2022, we handed over a consignment of humanitarian aid from the Ljubljana Pharmacy to the National Logistics Centre, which includes medical supplies and food and hygiene products in the amount of 70,000 EUR. We will continue to collect aid.

We also accommodated 42 people from Ukraine in the Hostel Celica, managed by the Ljubljana Castle, and ten people in the accommodations of the Gymnastics Centre Ljubljana (Ljubljana Sport). Accommodation for refugees is also provided in the Mini Theatre, where they have already hosted a refugee family, and a space for refugees at the New Post Office is also being set up in Mladinsko Theatre. Our public passenger transport company Ljubljanski potniški promet has provided two buses with drivers to transport young musicians, members of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, to Ljubljana.
