On Wednesday, 16 November 2022, Deputy Mayor Aleš Čerin received a lifetime achievement award from the Slovenian Cycling Federation at the Evening of Stars.

Aleš Čerin headed the Slovenian Cycling Federation from 1998 to 2006, at a time when Slovenian cyclists began to achieve top results at the international level. He is one of the pioneers in launching the Marathon Franja, he is still an active member of its organizing committee, and in establishing the BTC City Ljubljana women's cycling club.
