On 22 December 2014, the fifth group of ten (the third one in the year 2014) highly educated young people that applied for the “Podjetno v Svet Podjetništva” (Ambitiously into World of Business) public tender started its training programme with the Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region.

Besides the support of more than 14 professional co-workers, organised work environment and team work, one of the advantages of the programme is also a four-month employment in the framework of which the participants in addition to the minimum salary are also entitled to all other rights arising from the regular employment relationship.

74 applications have been submitted for the third public call this year that was issued from 17 October until 7 November 2014 and 40 candidates have been invited to present their business ideas. The following key criteria have been considered in the selection: feasibility of the idea, previous business knowledge of the candidates and the potential for establishment of a new company, self-employment or employment in another company, which are the main goals of the training. In the framework of a four-month programme the participants will be offered a full support in development of their business idea, while mostly emphasizing the acquisition of skills and know how that are necessary for the start of an independent business path. According to previous experience the most favourable skills and know how come from the field of finance, accounting and economics, whereby the candidates will have a chance of individual training and various promotional activities.

The project, which at the national level (the project is conducted in all twelve statistical regions) includes 600 young people, is co-financed from the European Social Fund and the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities.
