On Sunday, 11 June 2017, Mayor Zoran Janković and partners laid the foundation stone for the Baza sports centre on Pesarska cesta.

With the new sports centre Ljubljana is getting modern sports facilities which are going to open new sports opportunities for children and the youth as well as for recreational and professional athletes at top level. The centre is going to include minifootball, basketball and volleyball courts, a physical therapy centre, a multipurpose hall, a multimedia room and a fitness centre.
The project is based on public-private partnership between the City of Ljubljana and the Trigemini company.
