The Beko Company donated funds to the City of Ljubljana for the purchase of 50 air conditioning units in Ljubljana's kindergartens. The air-conditioning will help the children enjoy their stay at a kindergarten also during the summer months.

As the main sponsor of this year's EuroBasket championship, the Turkish manufacturer of household appliances Beko took care of the animation part and quality entertainment in fan zones, set up in the centre of Ljubljana during the event. The company also organized public screenings of matches at the Kongresni trg square as well as opened the Beko Home in the Stritarjeva street, where visitors had the opportunity to improve their cooking skills by participating in workshops, watch the matches on cosy sofas or test Beko's advanced household appliances.
Among all the beauties of our city, Beko representatives will surely remember the exceptionally high temperatures, which prevailed throughout summer during their visits. As part of the sponsorship, the company wanted to give the city, which hosted the highest number of matches during this year's European basketball championship something more than just great entertainment during the matches, thus they decided to donate 50 air conditioning units to Ljubljana's kindergartens and in this way help the little kids better cope with the heat during the summer months.
A symbolic cheque was handed over to the City of Ljubljana by Aleš Ponikvar, Director of the Big Bang Company.
