On Saturday, 13 June 2020, the Vodnik Homestead is hosting already the 6th Children’s Book Festival, where publishers are offering books for long summer days at low prices, and there are many literary events lined up in the homestead’s courtyard.

The Children’s Book Festival at Vodnik Homestead is already traditional. The festival is accompanied by a lively literary programme with which we are promoting reading among children and adults in diverse ways: we stage plays based on books, invite famous authors, prepare an exhibition, and each year we conclude the festival with a concert for the whole family.

This is the only specialised festival in Ljubljana focused on presenting literature for children. Books are excellent and important companions in children’s lives, they are expanding and feeding children’s imagination, and are encouraging the transformation of words into images.
