On 10 May 2016, Mayor Zoran Janković and Prime Minister Dr Miro Cerar signed the Agreement on the Implementation of Programmes and Tasks in accordance with the Capital City of the Republic of Slovenia Act for the period 2016-2018.

The Agreement sets a timetable for the implementation of programmes and tasks, it estimates financial and property consequences, determines financing sources and conditions, and regulates other mutual rights and obligations. It encompasses 34 joint projects – proposed by ministries and the City of Ljubljana – in the areas of real estate, infrastructure and protocol. All of them are very important for Ljubljana and the country as a whole.
Mayor Zoran Janković underscored the significance of the signed agreement, the first in the past 12 years, as he is convinced that the state and the capital need to act in concert and co-operate.
