DIGGIT Gold Award for Ljubljana Tourism

At this year's DIGGIT competition, Ljubljana Tourism received the gold award for achievements in the field of digital communications in the tourism category.

Last July, Ljubljana Tourism added the increasingly popular TikTok network to its portfolio of social networks, with which they wanted to increase Ljubljana's visibility as a creative and innovative destination also among the younger target audience. The number of users of its TikTok profile is growing rapidly, with posts already reaching a total of 128.9 million views, 9.8 million likes, 49,000 comments and 214,200 shares, and an incredible 127,000 new followers have subscribed to the profile. Ljubljana Tourism is creating its TikTok profile content in cooperation with Dunking Devils Studios.

The profile of Ljubljana Tourism achieved a breakthrough with the posting of the sports spectacle Volleyball on Ljubljanica, which has had over 73 million views, 3.2 million likes and over 8,000 comments, and has brought Ljubljana enormous publicity – not only for the capital city but also for the country and sports.
The Director of Ljubljana Tourism, Petra Stušek, MSc, and the team accepted the award and accentuated: »The golden award for achievements in the field of digital communications is extremely important to us, as it serves as a confirmation of our efforts and hard work. We are happy that our creativity is increasingly recognized both at home and around the world.«

The outstanding numbers prove that Ljubljana Tourism successfully uses its social networks as a marketing tool to strengthen the brand's reputation and its international recognizability. In this way, Ljubljana is consolidating its position as a destination that keeps up with the times, understands trends and is also unique and sophisticated in its digital presence.
