On 13 October 2014, the Slovanska Library, a department of the Ljubljana City Library, received a large book donation of 300 newly released books in Russian language.

The donation to the library was handed over by the Association of Russian publishers from Moscow and the Russian Scientific and Cultural Centre from Ljubljana which were represented by the president of the Association Oleg Filimonov and the director of the Russian Centre Rifat Pateev.

This is the second donation in a row. The Slovanska Library received the first donation of 250 contemporary works of the Russian literary production through the mediation of the Embassy of the Russian Federation and Rifat Pateev already in 2010.
