Drinking fountains in ljubljana

We invite you to freshen up with Ljubljana's potable water fountains from Ljubljana's water distribution system in these scorching days. There are currently 22 drinking fountains in Ljubljana. The fountains are functional in the spring and summer months, and are connected to Ljubljana's central water distribution system.

Each year before opening the fountains are regularly maintained for technical impeccability and the potable water at the mouth checked in pursuant of the legislation. Regular internal control of potable water by the water distribution manager is included during the time of operating. The fountains would be immediately excluded from the use if any deviation from standard was found. Water usually does not overheat in the fountains due to its short path from the water distribution system as they are located in the direct proximity of the system.

You cannot miss the drinking fountains in the city's centre as they are closely positioned from the Pogačar Trg to the Gornji Trg. Parents are particularly excited about the potable water on playgrounds in the Tivoli Park and Navje; the joggers and walkers the fountains by the Koseški Bajer and Cankarjev Vrh, which is arranged to quench the thirst of pets as well. Last year marked the opening of another drinking fountain at a popular recreational spot – Mostec, and this year at Golovec (by the exit for the Observatory) and the Ključavničarska Ulica.
