Again this year, Ljubljana joined the international environmental initiative Earth Hour, and so we turned off the exterior lighting on some buildings for an hour on Saturday, 24 March 2018.

Ljubljana took part in the campaign for the seventh year running, and this year we switched off the lights, among others, at Plečnik’s proplya at the Žale cemetery, at Plečnik’s Arcades at the main Ljubljana market, on the Križanke walls and the exterior lighting of the castle.

Earth Hour is a global initiative against environmental change introduced in 2007 by WWF Australia.
