Emw coordinators in ljubljana

The recipient of the European Mobility Week Award 2013, the City of Ljubljana, has been a host to the International Coordination Meeting of the European Mobility Week, the largest European Commission campaign to encourage sustainable mobility.

The City of Ljubljana was awarded the European Mobility Week Award for 2013 in Brussels in March this year for success and activity in sustainable mobility in the campaign to encourage sustainable mobility. Ljubljana participated along 30 cities from 12 countries and it is the only city to win the European Mobility Award two times as the committee recognized the city's outstanding activity and the upgrade of previous achievements.

The campaign organisers and coordinators at the European level (European Commission, Eurocities organisers, International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives – ICLEI) have agreed to hold the working meeting of national EMW coordinators prior to the approaching EMW 2014 in the current award-winning city. The Meeting took place in Ljubljana, which gave us an opportunity to showcase the coordinators indirectly what we achieved in the area and why we earned the award.

The City of Ljubljana has been preparing for the European Mobility Week 2014 between 16 and 22 September 2014.
