On 25 January, the Launch Conference for the EU Strategy for the Alpine region was held at Brdo pri Kranju, which the Deputy Mayor Tjaša Ficko attended, as well.

In the panel discussion titled »Partnership with Interest Groups« the Deputy Mayor presented Ljubljana, European Green Capital 2016, and the City of Ljubljana was also part of the conference with its exhibition »Before/After« showcasing projects that were carried out in the previous years and brought Ljubljana to this prestigious title.
The conference was organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the European Commission and was also attended by the European Commissioners for Regional Policy and Transport Corina Creţu in Violeta Bulc.
