The European U20 basketball championships, Slovenia 2012 take place in Kranjska Gora, Domžale and Ljubljana from 12 to 22 July 2012. Ljubljana is the venue of the championship final on 22 July.

The first stage of the European championships is to be held in Kranjska Gora and Domžale, where the Slovenian under-20 team will also play, while the second part of the tournament takes place in Domžale and Ljubljana. In Group D in Domžale, Slovenia come up against Italy, Sweden and Lithuania.

The City of Ljubljana is to host the championship final, which takes place at the Stožice Centre at 8.45pm on Sunday 22 July.

Every day of the European U20 basketball championships, Slovenia 2012, it will be possible to have a look at a giant egg in Prešeren Square, a symbol of the European championships for younger players. The egg was signed by every member of the Slovenian national squad on the Open Door Day held in Domžale on 9 July.
