In July and August, Tourism Ljubljana saw a record number of overnight stays in Ljubljana.

According to the TIC estimates, there were 95,783 overnight stays reported during this period, which is 10.7 % more than in the same period last year.

In both summer months the streets, squares and other venues in Ljubljana held a number of events. August was donned in Roman style. “Ave, Emona!”, the main event of this year’s celebration of the 2000th anniversary took place on the Congress Square between the 22 and 24 August. It was very well received by the citizens and visitors of Ljubljana that visited it in great numbers despite bad weather. The performers, particularly the societies from Italy, have expressed excitement over the response of visitors to the event and interest shown for the way of life in Emona.
