Exhibition of cartoons, drawings and illustrations

Until Friday 11 May 2012, the Kresija Gallery on Stritarjeva ulica plays host to an exhibition of cartoons, drawings and illustrations by Italian artist Leila Marzocchi and Slovene artist Matej de Cecco, under the common title ‘Transformations’.

The STRIPBURGER magazine and the Italian association VIVACOMIX organise an annual youth competition for cartoons and animation. The competition starting point each year is two authors and the characters they have created.

This time, you can check out the creative world of Leila Marzocchi from Italy and Matej de Cecco from Slovenia at the Kresija Gallery.

Leila Marzocchi is exhibiting work related to one of her most popular characters, Pupo. Matej de Cecco has re-created Šnofi’s world.

There is also a showcase of a fresh cartoon publication entitled ‘Pilko and Čopka in Narobnija’, co-created by Matej de Cecco (artwork) and Boštjan Gorenc - Pyjama (script). The comic strip, one of the main roles in which is played by the cute and curious dog Šnofi, was originally published in youth magazine PIL. It is the first part of a series of comic strips featuring Šnofi, Pilko and Čopka.

You are warmly welcome to visit the exhibition.
